I am an 84 year old white woman and really have to say I thoroughly enjoy reading your thoughts. I find myself smiling a bunch and I do appreciate your sharing your travels, thoughts on the arts etc. May you always be inquisitive and open to new things and sharing. I wish you years of happiness.
I’ve been using the cleanser and mask but I wouldn’t use them on active cysts! I like First Honey, which makes manuka honey ointment you can apply directly to any open cuts. It’s my go-to. Also hope things are okay post-diagnosis, it can be tough!
Gah! I'm sad you weren't into Loved Ones. I really enjoyed it but also see where there's room for critic. Vladimir fell SO flat for me but Leo Woodall is a joy to watch (he really one me over with his performance in the remake of One Day) and am excited to see his new film, The Tuner, when it comes out next month. I've been struggling with Rooster so hit pause but you're making me want to tap into DTF St. Louis!
There’s something about Rooster that should work, but doesn’t—you know? It has so many elements I’d usually be into but altogether it feels kind of meh!
Exactly! Are you watching (or plan to watch!) Imperfect Women on Apple TV? I have very conflicting feelings. It feels like a show I should be more immersed in but something is holding me back.
Same! I think I’m just starting to understand the format but even still the way it’s slowly revealing
information by moving through the perspectives isn’t fully working. I think seeing kerry washington as a mistress again is also kind of exhausting haha
new to substack, and stumbled upon your writing. your life seems so full! this was a delightful read; i hope to grow into your a spirit as similarly shaped and a writing as similarly sharp and loving as yours. thank you for sharing
