thank you! it has made me more grateful for the moments that excited me over the month. I can get caught up in the routine of a day or the emotional current of a month, so much so that by the end I feel like I did nothing when I did do a lot. A long way of saying it’s helping me to be more present.
Have been loving the newsletter and loved this monthly roundup of things <3 Hearing about your little sister makes my heart SING!! I also have a long age gap with my sister and she's 4 years old. She's desperately waiting for a tooth to fall out so that she can give it to the tooth fairy.
My roommates + I also watched Role Play this month and we also thought it wasn't that good lmao. However we do think that there will likely be a second one just because of how the movie ended.
Re-reading (this time in a hardcover format) Behind You Is the Sea by Susan Muaddi Darraj and cannot recommend enough! When I first read (summer-ish 2023), I thought the book was beautiful and it moved me to tears several times. Since then I've gained a lot of context into the things being talked about in the book as it deals directly with the Palestinian American diaspora in Baltimore and it is truly such a soul bearing novel that is full of nuance while deeply questioning the impact that the mythical American dream has on immigrant families.
Sending so much love you and can't wait to read February's Final File :)
Obsessed with this format/this newsletter! More, please.
Thank you Becca!!
Love the highlights sections, it really captures those smaller significant moments too

It’s easy to forget how much abundance we already have so I love taking the time to say what I’m grateful for too :)
Such a fun read and monthly reflection. I just treated myself to a new Moleskine from the local bookstore too (unlined of course!) — I love it!
thank you! there’s truly nothing like a new journal.
I love “expense report” appeals to my nosy nature.

the queen of the object roundup!! also excited to see what color you land on
Love this! Adding so many ideas / things to consume to my lists. Also your Birds of a Feather and Fausto mentions made me miss BK.
If anyone has reccs for who to follow for LA reccs, I'm an LA n00b here for that! 🙏🏽
I’d recc Ali Labelle for this! I am never in LA but always save the restaurants she’s mentioning and posting about on IG and in A La Carte
