I got a chance to read an ARC of Season of the Swamp in exchange for a review, and it's one of my absolute top favorite reads of the year so far. Such a wild, weird book. I hope you enjoy!

A wonderful list; namely v interested in Quarterlife, Passiontide, Rejection, The Repeat Room, The Black Utopians, Slaveroad & Every Arc Bends Its Radian. Thanks for doing the heavy lifting of putting this together. I have Season of the Swamp arc & am equally jazzed to read. I’ve read Herrera before and he is a very vivid writer.

I stalk the "most anticipated/upcoming releases" lists but still there were some new to me titles, Only Stars sounds amazing and now I want to read Johannes Anyuru's backlist. Of books already out this fall I need to get to Obligations to the Wounded, Black Utopians and I Did Something Bad. Halfway through The Message and it's brilliant (shocking no one). I've been eagerly awaiting Sand-Catcher and really looking forward to Kingdom of No Tomorrow https://bookshop.org/p/books/kingdom-of-no-tomorrow-fabienne-josaphat/21333064?ean=9781643755885

I am doing a month of Didion but Dear Dickhead is already by my bedside, waiting to be read and Misinterpretation sounds amazing. In addition to Big Swiss, it reminds me a little bit of Katie Kitamura's Intimacies.

REJECTION is funny in a cringeworthy way. I really enjoyed it, especially the last two interconnected stories.

I'm looking forward to reading the new Houellebecq novel. He's insane and insanely problematic, but that's half the fun.
